Accessibility statement for CertsVault
Prepared 27 October 2026. Last automated test run 27 October 2026.
This statement applies to the CertsVault website at certsvault.co.uk, run by ThinkTribal Limited. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it. You should be able to zoom in to 200% without losing content, use it on a phone, use only a keyboard, and read it with a screen reader. We have set ourselves the target of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA.
How accessible this website is
We have tested this website with automated checks and not yet by hand. We therefore do not yet know every problem a person might meet, and we do not claim that the website meets WCAG 2.2 level AA in full.
Manual testing with the keyboard alone and with a screen reader, on the main tasks, is planned and has not been done. When it is done, this statement will be updated with the date and the result.
What we have tested
- An automated checker (axe-core) runs against 44 pages of the signed-in service, each at a desktop width and at a phone width of 390 pixels, whenever the code changes. It checks against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 rules it can test automatically at levels A and AA, plus best-practice rules. The last full run found no serious or critical problem.
- The same checks require every button and link to be at least 44 pixels high and wide, and no page to scroll sideways on a phone.
- Charts have a table of the same figures, and the page can be read without the chart.
Automated checkers find only a part of the problems people meet. They cannot judge, for example, whether a page makes sense read aloud, or whether the focus order is sensible.
Known limitations
- Manual keyboard and screen reader testing has not been done (above).
- Certificate documents are uploaded by housing providers and contractors as PDFs and images. We do not make those documents accessible; they are the providers’ records.
- Charts have not yet been tested with a screen reader. The table version of each chart is there so that nobody depends on the chart alone.
Feedback and contact information
If you cannot use part of CertsVault, or you find a problem that is not listed here, email info@thinktribal.com or use the feedback button inside CertsVault. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and what got in the way, and the assistive technology you use if you can. We aim to reply within 5 working days. If you need information in another format, such as a document in large print or in plain text, ask and we will work out how to provide it.
Enforcement procedure
If you are not happy with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service. Many of the organisations that use CertsVault are public bodies with their own accessibility duties, and we aim to give them what they need to meet them.
What we are doing next
- Test the main tasks by hand with the keyboard alone and with a screen reader.
- Publish the date and result here, with any problems found and when we will fix them.
